A successful Software Engineering Manager candidate has established leadership and team-building skills, strong technical skills, and leads teams through the key components of the software development life cycle. Qualities we are looking for include:

  • Consistently achieving results and meeting goals and deadlines, even under tough circumstances. Holding yourself and your team to high standards
  • Ensuring priorities and objectives are aligned with business needs
  • Working with Product Management, Product Designers, Technical Writers, Support and Operations as part of the full product lifecycle
  • Leading an agile scrum team through their development process, reporting on progress, and making wise decisions to adapt plans as things change
  • Managing individual contributors on a cross-functional team which includes backend and frontend Engineers, QA and SREs.
  • Facilitating and leading the team toward building solutions for complex technical problems
  • Providing performance reviews and regular coaching to help each team member grow personally and professionally
  • Driving changes, initiatives, and best practices within your teams
  • Intentionally recruits and hires to create a more diverse workforce.  Advocates for individuals by providing mentorship and development for team members.  


  • Bachelor degree or an appropriate combination of education and experience in an engineering discipline
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a leadership capacity within a development organization
  • Experience leading agile software development teams
  • Experience with the key components in the life-cycle of shipping software: prioritization, scoping, estimating, developing, testing and QA, documentation, release management, and support
  • Several years of experience with software development 
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous deployment environments


  • Experience with AWS or other Native Cloud Environments
  • Experience managing diverse teams
  • Experience managing distributed teams

We offer a competitive salary that includes base + company bonus + equity.  Final salary will be based upon experience and geographic location. 

Salary range: $135,000-$160,000
