Job Title: Project Designer
Required: Bachelor’s in Architecture & 24 months experience in architectural design. In lieu of primary requirements employer will accept Master’s degree in Architecture. Special Requirements: Must have demonstrated proficient knowledge of REVIT, Rhinoceros, Enscape, Dynamo, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop. Employer will accept Special Requirements gained through employment experience and/or academic coursework. An architect’s license is not required. All work will be supervised by a licensed architect.
Duties: The Project Designer performs the following architecture duties:
- Create presentation of three-dimensional (3D) visualization for architectural and interior projects, using REVIT, Rhinoceros, Enscape, Dynamo, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop to create and develop design models and produce graphics;
- Apply Revit to compile Entitlement, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document packages;
- Model, render, and montage rendered images into project site photos with people and context;
- Plan or design structures, including institutional buildings and mixed-use development structures;
- Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs;
- Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs;
- Collect information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time;
- Integrate engineering elements into unified architectural designs using computer-assisted drafting (Revit) equipment and software;
- Meet with project leads and clients to determine objectives and requirements for building and housing structures;
- Estimate the amount of required materials, equipment, and construction time and financial costs for projects, and resolve issues in design and modifying designs, which may arise during construction and pre-construction process;
- Prepare 2D and 3D presentations for clients, meet clients to review or discuss architectural drawings;
- Perform ad hoc research projects assigned by management and address other company concerns, including but not limited to energy-efficient building materials methods and architecture styles;
- Remain abreast with building codes, fire regulations, zoning laws, and city ordinances when creating and drawing plans. With respect to public buildings, be aware of disability access laws and stay up-to-date on policy, zoning and regulatory changes.
Salary Range: $88,712/Yr - $88,712/Yr
