Recently named a leader in The Forrester Wave™, we build smart software solutions that help capture, understand and share insights from millions of conversations across the web and beyond. Home to over 500 people worldwide with offices in 10 locations, Brandwatch is a place that motivates and supports its staff to find answers to new problems in an ever changing social and digital world. Brandwatch is part of Cision Ltd—a leading global provider of innovative earned media software and services to public relations and marketing communications professionals.

Our goal is to remain the innovative leader in digital consumer intelligence. We need people to join the Product team who can develop new ideas, deliver outcomes, and help define go-to-market positioning.

Why work for us:

As a Security Engineer you will be working within the Security Team designing, implementing, and continually improving the security solutions identified as part of Brandwatch's security program to ensure that all information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure and processes are adequately protected and compliance obligations are met.

You will help keep Brandwatch secure each day, by solving complex technical problems for the business, designing and implementing security controls over our cloud infrastructure and communicating security best practices in a manner that strengthens our culture and values. You'll have the opportunity to directly influence security best practices and contribute your expertise across the organisation.

You will be embedded in a small but mighty and fun team, where you will take ownership of projects and run through with them. You will be organising and participating in regular security meetings, addressing security questions from internal and external audits, stakeholders and examinations, performing security and risk assessments on potential affiliates, technology solutions and service providers, continuously assessing Brandwatch's security posture, reporting findings and making recommendations as well as identifying weak or missing security controls and vulnerabilities and collecting relevant information security metrics.

Success in this role requires a person who is organised and resourceful; an excellent communicator that likes to stay up-to-date on cybersecurity best practices, trends and technologies.

You should apply if:

You are familiar with common OS and web app vulnerabilities and the OWASP top 10 automating things is your favourite way of being lazy, you have worked as a sysadmin or developer and are naturally security oriented or interested.  Although industry experience is not required, we are looking for someone with a keen interest in learning new skills and new ways of working.

If you’ve used Linux, know AWS security upside down, have done some Risk Management processes, know about SIEMs, IDSs, IPSs and APTs, then that’s a plus and we’d love to meet you! But if you don’t have lots of experience in these but you are security crazy and would like to learn about them then we want to hear from you too.

At Brandwatch, we offer flexible and remote working, a competitive benefits package, an extensive people development program, including LinkedIn Learning for every employee and in-house courses such as our Brandwatch Leadership Development program, and community-focused groups, such as our Diversity & Inclusion and Green committees.

Working at Brandwatch: Our values are about being authentic, bold, and creative. And we believe these values are best embodied by enabling people to do their best work in an environment that works for them. Whether fully remote, within one of our global offices, or a combination of the two, we have the tools and resources to make working to these values both possible and enjoyable.
