Principal Engineer works closely with software engineers, product management and leaders to design and build highly scalable connectors and extractors platform
Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement frameworks and features that are instrumental in building the next generation connectors and extractors for variety of diversified host systemsProvide technical leadership for new design and evangelize implementing best practices and guidelinesParticipate in design discussions, build POC and contribute to deliver high quality products/features/frameworksEnsure team is not creating technical debtsTaking necessary corrective measures to address problems and anticipating problem areas in new designs and workFocusing on security aspects, observability, scalability and telemetricLead discussions with stakeholders on requirements and design aspects related to key technical components, frameworks, interfaces etc.Be an author to document architectural decisions, designs, comparisons and analysis of the explorationAct as a mentor/coach to other engineers to share your knowledge and expertise
Experience and SkillsBachelor/master's degree in computer science or equivalent15+ years of full stack experience in software design and developmentExpert in C#, Java programming language and .NET frameworkKnowledge of architectural styles and design patternsExperience of architecting, building and deploying (CI/CD) highly scalable distributed systems and frameworks for small businesses and enterprisesExperience of working on AWS Cloud and DevOps (Terraform, Docker, ECS, etc.) would be beneficialExperience of converting monoliths to microservices or server-less architectureShould be self-motivated with focus on automating everythingShould own both the design and implementation of solutions for complex problemsExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to be able to solve complex problems and critical production issues
