Job Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager is responsible for the development and management of a growing team of Business Development Representatives. Each BDR is responsible for maintaining high activity levels, daily prospecting, pipeline growth, prospect qualification, and delivering on assigned monthly/quarterly sales revenue targets. 

In this role, you are responsible for the BDR leadership, execution, and revenue goal achievement. The right person for this position must have the proven ability to increase the productivity of the BDR team through skill development and adherence to activity standards; while providing inspiration, rapid conflict resolution, and the ability to build a high-performance culture.


  • Oversee BDR team activity and achieve first meetings (SQLs) goals month-over-month
  • Map quarter-over-quarter goals against pipeline targets and execute against strategy
  • Help hire & quickly ramp new BDRs with onboarding training on product knowledge, buyer personas, competition, tools training, and plenty of role-plays.
  • Manage KPIs for BDR performance and benchmarks with visibility across the team
  • Optimize BDR email sequences, call script, and enablement tools
  • Provide BDRs with a coaching cadence of time management, objection handling, prospecting tactics, and active listening skills.
  • Strategize with sales and marketing counterparts on pipeline and prospecting initiatives to meet the company's objectives.
  • Use performance data to identify and audit knowledge or skill gaps across the BDR team and provide training, goals, and direction as necessary.
  • Communicate enablement strategy and KPIs to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience required
  • 100% Boston Office Based (located at One Lincoln Street - State Street Financial Center)
  • 5-7 years experience in a high-performance sales organization in enablement, learning and development, or product marketing
  • Proven track record of performance as a successful BDR/SDR at a high growth company
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves”, "get in the trenches", and show the team how to do the work
  • A strong understanding of the BDR environment & ecosystem, including sales content, tools, and training
  • Able to build internal relationships with sales and marketing
  • Positivity and desire to uplift and share knowledge with those around you
  • Mentorship and coaching experience/methodology that you're willing to share
  • Stellar communication skills both over the phone and in writing
  • Experience with is a must 
  • Experience with Outreach, Orum, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo is a plus
