Senior Presenter - The Stream
Al Jazeera Media Network are currently seeking a Senior Presenter who will be responsible for for hosting The Stream daily show as well as interacting with the online community. As the Senior Presenter you will have excellent writing skills, be experienced in online journalism, traditional journalism and sourcing stories from social media. You will represent The Stream and Al Jazeera Media Network in public and online forums. Our preferred candidate will have a strong editorial background, knowledge of international affairs and events and grounding in Al Jazeera's editorial style and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with AJStream social media community of more than one million combines users, through talent and conversational skills,
- Lead a live interactive discussion on air Act as online host, creating a space for discussion of multiple topics with online community
- Host/produce additional content to engage online community including open editorial meetings Twitter chats, multimedia interactive services
- Write and/or mentor Presenter, producers, Associate Producers and interns
- Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years experience in TV or related fields as Producer, Researcher and/or Assistant Producer on factual programmes of an appropriate type (documentaries, discussions or magazines)
Minimum 3 Years experience on air and online as a journalist or producer on related programs with a focus on international news
