Senior Producer

Job Summary:
The Senior Producer will be responsible for ensuring that the editorial team will produce highly shareable, cutting edge, long-form/short-form, in-depth digital content, as well as focusing on content that creates conversations on social networks, catches rising conversations on social networks, enhances the discussions and lends a perspective based on facts creating an impact with our global audience.
S/He will help the EP of Digital Special Projects to set the editorial direction for productions and will be part of the development & experimentation process within the Special Projects Department, as well as managing a team of multi skilled members.
Key responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Lead a shift/team of multi skilled producers, associate producers and researchers.
• Lead the daily content production and report its performance
• Revise, finalize and approve all relevant scripts/productions.
• Produce as well as supervise all relevant scripts and productions.
• Work/coordinate closely with the team leads (planning, creative, engagement and shows) to ensure they are leveraging the original/native content being produced.
• Provide editorial direction to various digital content streams.
• Lead in monitoring media landscape and latest content trends
• Lead in researching current content production models and techniques
• Lead the editorial meetings when necessary.
• Assist in finalizing production schedules and editorial projects.
• Produce new content ideas and experiments
• Assist in drafting content concepts in different formats (text, video, audio)
• Supervise the commissioning process for any content format
• Mentoring and staff development

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in digital media, journalism, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
Minimum Required Academic Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
- Minimum 5 year of professional experience in Digital Media/Media field is required.
- Proven experience in video production or online/digital Journalism.
