ROLE OVERVIEW:

As our clients find themselves in an increasingly complex world of marketing and media, we work with them to simplify and demystify what can at first appear complex. We work with clients directly as well as across  WPP to meet their future marketing needs by harnessing the power of Google’s technology across both Google Marketing Platform (GMP) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Our Global partnership with Google has been built over 20yrs and is rooted in deep subject matter experience. Our consultants work with clients to meet their modern marketing challenges using Google technology as the backbone to many of the data and technology solutions we deliver.

The Partner Manager role is a senior partnerships role which requires experience developing Acceleration’s business relationships with executive level decision makers and technology initiative drivers and owners both within Google and WPP. This Partner Manager will be able to demonstrate success through a history of having worked within structured Partner/Channel Programs, with this role having a primary function that includes day-to-day management of our over 20-year strategic partnership with Google.  Candidates will have experience working together with local Growth Consultants, Partner Marketing & Executives on large and complex initiatives within the Google Marketing and Cloud organizations. You will have a passion for relationship building and a strong ability to connect parties across the partner eco-system to uncover, identify and assist in identifying long-term Partner opportunities and agreements, with experience in Partner and co-selling success, servicing both the growth/sales organization as well as the partner marketing organization.

AREA OF EXPERTIZE:  

Acceleration is part of WPP, the world’s largest advertising and marketing services group. Clients come to us to solve todays biggest challenges, surrounding the use of data and technology, to support delivery of improved digital marketing experiences for their customers, across paid, owned and earned environments. Typically their biggest area of investment is media, and using data and technology, to un-lock value in this area is critical.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Google in a numerous of ways, across the Google Advertising, and more specifically the Google Marketing Platform,  Google Cloud,  with some additional responsibilities focused on helping surface and evaluate new partnership opportunities within Google, in areas aligned to our Partnerships and Acceleration’s key go to market strategies.

The Partner Manager should be a professional with demonstrated Channel and Strategic Partner growth abilities with experience in managing and growing successful partnerships to complement the partner’s revenue growth and overall success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Partner Manager is responsible for the management of strategic relationships with key stakeholders and teams within Google that continuously develops new business and growth opportunities. The primary measurement of success for this role is defined by achieving the Google Partnership KPIs.

  • As the Partner Manager you will oversee the Google Partner programs and initiatives to help Google work in alignment Acceleration and the wider WPP organization
  • As the Partner Manager you will work with Google and EVP – Global Google Partnerships to establish and maintain a unique value proposition that emphasizes our value as a leading partner providing technology services and solutions around Google’s Marketing and Cloud technology assisting in development of additional joint solutions, that both group’s organizations can leverage and promote in the marketplace.
  • You will work with Google and EVP – Global Google Partnerships to manage our value back to Google, packaging the value we’ve delivered to Google clients, and ensuring it is well understood by the executive teams as Google.
  • Working with the Acceleration Growth Consultants you will build relationships to open up opportunities to enhance our Google Partner sale pipeline including contributing to the success of partner co-selling within regional Growth teams and the Google sales orgs.
  • Working with both the Google and the Acceleration Partner Marketing team to establish a joint marketing plan that would focus on events, publications and thought leadership
  • Working with the Partnerships team to identify regional Google Growth objectives and paths that align with the company's strategic direction and vision.
  • Working with the regional Growth and operational teams to guide and develop our Google partner awareness, knowledge, sales & support processes and capabilities.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years experience of managing and Partner/Channel relationships
  • 5+ years experience with Google digital media/advertising with an emphasis on programmatic and measurement solutions
  • Experience with partnership development and management supporting performance and marketing, advertising technology, programmatic and cloud marketing would be ideal
  • Knowledge of System Integrators, Competitive Sales and Solutions Partners, Channel Sales, other media performance technology Vendors is also essential
  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work with Google cross-functional teams, WPP/GroupM agency partners and independent clients collaboratively
  • Ability to work independently with solid verbal and written communication skills,  complimented by extreme attention to detail, reporting capability and an ability to problem-solve
