ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Management: Oversee monthly financial close, payroll, reconciliations, and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Policy Enforcement: Establish and enforce accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Acquisition Integration: Assist with the financial reconciliation and integration of acquisitions.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve the close process and enhance the production of financial statements and reports.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and evaluate day-to-day activities of the accounting team under the guidance of the Controller.
  • Audit Coordination: Manage relationships with external auditors to ensure a timely and accurate audit process.
  • Insurance Policy Management: Oversee the maintenance and review of corporate insurance policies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong team development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Insurance industry experience is advantageous.
