TV News Producer
Description
WRAL, the dominant television station in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville market, is seeking a News Producer to craft compelling, visually interesting and fast-paced newscasts.
Qualifications
- Must be able to adapt quickly to change and perform well in a dynamic environment.
- Have outstanding communication skills, proven writing ability, a vision for graphics, and a passion for memorable, creative newscasts.
- Write urgent/compelling/conversational stories, teases and headlines to match the video and showcase coverage.
- Open to working any shift, prepared to work holidays and breaking news events including severe weather, election coverage and the Olympics.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Journalism is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years working as a live TV News Producer preferred.
- Producers must be flexible, able to work under tight deadlines and communicate clearly.
- Must come prepared to bring their voice and story ideas to news coverage planning meetings.
