WRAL News is seeking a standout, seasoned storyteller who can hit the ground running daily. We need a self-starter who can lead newscasts, work sources, investigate tips and enterprise original content five days a week. This person must be a creative writer who consistently delivers engaging live shots. We need to count on this reporter to break news across multiple platforms on a regular basis. Embracing and effectively using social media is essential to succeeding in this job. Solid news judgment and a strong sense of visual storytelling are essential skills.

In addition to a standard resume and reel, an applicant should submit examples of three recent enterprise stories, along with a brief explanation of how each story was discovered and reported. WRAL's enterprise mission includes major, local, original content that comes from reporter sources, viewer tips, or a reporter’s curiosity.

Requirements include five years of previous experience reporting in local television news and a four-year college degree. WRAL is locally owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company, a community-oriented company that offers some of the best benefits in the business.
