WRAL-TV is seeking a Part-Time Video Editor to work in our studios to help edit video for newscasts. The ideal candidate must have the aptitude to develop strong news judgment, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and work well with others while under pressure. 

This is a part-time position with a salary range of $15-$16/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Creatively edit video to match scripts for daily newscasts.
  • Take in microwave, LiveU and satellite feeds.
  • Contribute video via email and shared server.
  • Set up and record zoom interviews.
  • Assist the production team during newscasts in multiple capacities including teleprompter operation, camera operation, and floor directing.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Experience editing news (non-linear), computer literacy, and newsroom experience is preferred.
  • A college degree and two to three years of experience is also preferred.
  • This person must be able to work in the office.
