The role
Reporting directly to the Practice leader of Digital Manufacturing Japan, you will be member of the Digital Manufacturing Team and in charge of the Industrial IoT business Line with a focus on solution architecture for Industrial IoT platform, technical capability development, and delivery of projects for our clients for a employee.
Responsibilities
· In the role as ThingWorx Developer, you develop and support the product team working with connected devices and IIoT
· Enhancing existing and developing new solutions, apps, and functionalities within PTC ThingWorx and dependent analytics systems like IoT analytics
· Working with SQL database and time series database for PTC ThingWorx
· Performing root cause analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement
· Creating required documentation (specifications, test cases, release notes, procedures, guidelines, etc.)
· Perform unit/smoke/functional testing, prepare test cases, and demonstrate solutions to stakeholders
· Working with ticket management tools & processes as 3rd level support
· Collaborate with Product Owners and Product architects to understand, evaluate, and convert functional requirements into technical specifications and architecture. This also includes breakdown and estimation of tasks
· Developing and modifying connection strings to and from PTC ThingWorx
· Business level English / Native level Japanese (N1 or N2)
Profile
Mandatory
· Bachelor's / Master's degree within any engineering specialization
· 2-4 years of experience within PTC ThingWorx and depending analytic area
· Experience with UX design is good to have
· Experience with service fulfillment solutions like ServiceNow is good to have
· Experience with Agile, DevOps and SCRUM is good to have
· Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization is required
· Knowledge of architecture design principles, patterns, and best practices is required
· Experience in defining and using different types of IoT analytics is good to have
· Experience in REST, OData and API usage is good to have
· Technical knowledge of PTC ThingWorx, analytic code and related building blocks are required
· Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate is good to have
· Experience with SQL and time series databases is good to have
· Experience with software testing is good to have
