About this role
The leveraging liaison supports the ECC medical team to provide the best quality medical care with a high standard of service for the client, the patient, and the referring veterinarian. The Leveraging Liaison works with the triage doctor to focus on patient care, diagnosis, and treatment. This position offers an opportunity to connect with the patients and clients and strengthen the bond between them and the veterinary team.
The Client Care Associate is the first and last impression of Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists, which impacts the client's overall experience. The CCA is an invaluable team member who communicates with the clients, works with the medical staff to facilitate emergency and specialty appointments, provides information to the referring veterinary community, and handles financial transactions. This position is client-focused and does not involve direct interactions with pets.
The weekly schedule for this role includes shifts as a leveraging liaison and other shifts as a client care associate.
Responsibilities and Functions
- Promote patient flow to limit client wait times.
- Communicate directly with referring doctors and hospitals.
- Communicate directly with the pet owners.
- Discuss estimates and finances with clients.
- Discharge patients according to the doctor's instructions.
- Process payments.
- CCA duties include checking people in and out, directing phone calls, and data entry
Salary, Schedule, and Benefits Include (but are not limited to)
- The salary for this role is $21/hr
- The schedule is a mix of days and swings, with some shifts as a liaison and some as a client care associate.
- Schedules include days, evenings, weekends, and a holiday shift rotation. The initial training schedule may differ.

Required Qualifications
- Customer Service experience is required.
- 2+ years experience in the veterinary hospital as a technician, liaison, or CSR
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Sufficient computer experience and the ability to learn various veterinary software programs
- Basic math skills to determine deposits and process payments
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks appropriately
- Excellent clear communication skills
- Must be professional, pleasant, and engaged.
- Must be attentive and demonstrate a high level of respect to referring veterinarians, clients, and co-workers
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of DVMax and SmartFlow
- Experience and knowledge of Care Credit
