Position Title:  Project Coordinator

Department:Project Implementation

Entity:CS e-Storage

Reports To:Project Director

Location:Nova Scotia, Canada

 

Position Summary:


The Project Coordinator assists with the development and implementation of energy storage projects. Responsibilities include coordinating project management and procurement processes, tracking client obligations, managing customer interfaces, and handling non-conformances and contract modifications. Knowledge of energy storage systems, engineering principles, and project management is desirable. Experience with project execution processes is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the procurement and project management teams with coordination of project-related activities.
  • Help develop project plans and communications documents.
  • Proactively assist with schedule development and milestone tracking.
  • Support the procurement manager with vendor commitments and relationships.
  • Effectively communicate project status updates.
  • Manage communication flow for contract submittals, project reporting, invoicing, vendor submittals, and other documentation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support subcontractor operations and manage the subcontractor schedule.
  • Identify and manage critical paths to task completion.
  • Problem-solve unique situations as they arise.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining business management tools for project execution.
  • Identify process improvement areas and assist with process revisions.
  • Support the procurement manager in developing proposals and contract exhibits.
  • Monitor project documentation status and compliance.
  • Review and verify project documents for completeness and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Submit project proposals for management approval and transmit approved documents to the customer.
  • Promote excellent customer service.
  • Understand and promote Canadian Solar products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Procurement Manager.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and visual).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Experience with scheduling in MS Project (P6 is an asset).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative, and creativity.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as required.
  • Valid Driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
  • Some travel to project sites may be required.
