Position Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, resourceful and energetic Talent Sourcers to join our talent acquisition team.  This new position is part of the transformation of our recruiting department as we move to being a proactive, innovative, and digitally-driven team.  The role is ideal for someone looking to start and build their career in the recruiting industry.

As part of our Talent Acquisition team, the Talent Sourcer will be responsible for engaging potential candidates for truck driver positions, along with performing recruiting and support functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifying, sourcing and qualifying candidates from internal and external databases and sources such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc
  • Utilize modern technology systems for marketing, SEO, brand awareness, PPC, AI, predictive analytics, ATS and engagement campaigns
  • Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks
  • Calling and evaluating prospective job seekers (both passive and active)
  • Maintain candidate databases using our new Applicant Tracking System
  • Build and effectively manage multiple talent pipelines of pre-qualified candidates for future hiring needs
  • Provide pre-screening support for the Talent Acquisition team
  • Coordinate interviews for our team
  • Performing various administrative and data entry tasks, such as database management
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Required skills

  • Human Resources Management degree/diploma/certificate from a recognized University/College preferred, but not required
  • 1-2 years’ experience talent sourcing, preferably within transportation industry, but not necessary
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; proficiency in English language a must, but we are also looking for those who are bilingual in either English and French, or English and Punjabi
  • Analytical and highly detail oriented individual with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Excellent judgment and decision making ability; ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational abilities
  • Highly self-motivated; ability to work independently and as a member of the team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Maintains confidentiality; ethical, reliable and trustworthy
