LOGISTICS MANAGER

We are currently looking to add a full-time permanent Logistics Manager to our team. Someone who is equally passionate about serving the community and achieving operational success alongside our dedicated and loyal employees.
Located at 2864 Norland Avenue, Burnaby and reporting to the Director of Operations, the Logistics Manager will play an important part in making sure we are providing the best customer service experience for our customers. Responsibilities:
•Building strong long-lasting relationships with our customers and drivers
•Ensuring we are delivering fast communication to our customers
•Providing customer centric logistics solutions
•Notifying customers in advance of any delays and coming up with creative solutions
•Track loads to ensure on-time pick up and delivery requirements are met or exceeded
•Collaborate and offer assistances to other team members in keeping loads on track
•Assist in trouble-shooting carrier specific issues from the point of booking until completion
•Assist in resolving service failures and communicate with team member and team leader
•Provide and support tracking requirements for clients
•Contact and maintain good relationships with carriers
•Ensure all carriers are communicated with professionalism
•Ensure all necessary load information and updates are delivered to applicable team members
•Perform related duties as assigned by Operations Manager
•Deliver the optimal logistical solutions for customers
Core Competencies and Qualification:
•Logistics and transportation experience is not required but is an asset
•Detail oriented
•Great communication skills and confidence
•Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
•Can-do attitude
•Optimistic and eager to learn
•Self-starter and self-motivated
•High level of mental alertness and move with high sense of urgency
•Strong negotiation skills
•Strong computer skills and typing abilities
- Successfully pass a background check
- Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with flexibility to work overtime periodically
