CSR – Logistics Operations

We are currently looking to add a Customer Service Representative to our team. Someone who is equally passionate about serving the community and achieving operational success alongside our dedicated and loyal employees.

Located in Nanaimo the Customer Service Representative will have experience working in Logistics and Transportation and provide operational support, while developing relationships with new carriers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Email correspondence with customers and drivers
  • Phone calls and text messages with drivers and customers for any dispatch questions
  • Covering runs when drivers break down or call in sick
  • Redoing the schedule and dispatches when trailers miss the barge
  • Entering payroll hours
  • Inputting billing data into Google Sheets
  • Setting loads to delivered
  • Any extra office tasks that were not completed during the day

 

 Core Competencies and Qualification:

 

  • Shifts will be 5 nights a week, Tuesdays to Saturdays. Days off are Sundays & Mondays.
  • Each shift will start at 16:00 and end around 21:00 or 22:00, depending on the work load that day
  • Provide coverage for other employees during any holidays or time off. The applicant will be switched over to day shifts during those times and provide adequate coverage
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Google Sheets & Outlook
  • Applicant will need to know military time
  • Hard working, and a fast learner
  •  Be able to multi-task
  •  Work well under stress and pressure
  •  Ability to type at least 46 WPM
