Development Support Analyst

Reports to: Director, Development & Integration

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Job Summary:

The Development Support Analyst is responsible for the support of Canada Cartage production environment by working side by side with the Development team, other IT teams, and internal business partners.


Job Responsibilities:

Diagnose and resolve application issues reported on Canada Cartage production environment, primarily Radius platform and its integrated systems.

Collaborate with IT teams and internal business partners to ensure issues and requests are updated with accurate details on a timely fashion.

Track issue log and provide status update to stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.

Monitor error and service log to ensure successful business data integration.

Perform root cause analysis, document gaps, and provide recommendations on future improvements on business process, application functionality, and system integration.

Complete business requests which do not require development, such as user profile management and user permission settings on Radius platform and its related systems.

Produce audit reports on system logs, integration service history, and other available log files.

Provide technical support to members of the IT Service Desk and other IT teams.

Attend troubleshooting sessions, status meetings, and other meetings, as required.

Participate in projects and initiatives, as assigned.

Must have:

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate and interact effectively with team members within IT, other Business departments, customer, and trading partners.

Strong believer in documentation and standardization.

Ability to learn quickly and work independently.

Team player with forward-thinking and seeing the larger picture.

Good understanding of software development life cycle.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database and query.

Strong experience in using Microsoft Office applications such as Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

2+ years of experience in supporting enterprise applications and integration.



Nice to have:

Knowledge and experience in data mining and dashboard technology.

Knowledge and experience in transportation industry.

Knowledge and experience in warehouse and logistics industry.

Knowledge of Oracle database and query.

Experience in support mobile applications, both Android and iOS.

Working Hours and Location

Weekend and afterhours support could be required for patch update, infrastructure upgrade, or when production issues happen.

Some travel may be required if involved in a project.
