 About this Team:

The Talent Acquisition team is responsible for ensuring Canada Cartage is the #1 talent destination, attracting exceptional people from all over the world to add to our culture, values and vibe.

A day in the life of a Talent Acquisition Partner:

  • Partners directly with Senior Business Leader(s) to define, build, and execute talent acquisition strategies that identify and deliver diverse pools of talent for current and future business needs
  • Deliver full cycle recruitment process up to and including Vice President level roles 
  • Successfully utilizes sourcing tools + methodologies to identify and engage talent across multiple geographies and sectors 
  • Develops market mapping of identified sectors and competitors 
  • Utilizes relevant metrics to measure and report on the effectiveness of sourcing tools and strategies 
  • Leverages market data, insights, and innovative technologies to continuously improve sourcing effectiveness and provide competitive intelligence to the business 
  • Ensures a positive experience in all interactions with potential candidates
  • Proactively identifies future talent needs in partnership with all levels of Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, and the Talent Acquisition team to develop talent pools that meet current and future business needs 
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to the business solving highly complex, at times confidential, talent needs leveraging deep knowledge of global talent pools
  • Fosters a culture of inclusive talent identification, attraction and assessment
  • Lives into and exemplifies the online + offline employer brand story  
  • Leverages HR technology tools related to applicant tracking, crm, candidate database and recruitment tools  
  • Designs and develop the foundational components of the candidate experience within market adaption  
  • Coaches + influences business leaders on best practices for attracting and hiring world class talent  
  • An innate connector who loves to build pipelines of talent through creating deep networks of diverse talent across industries and geographies 
  • Expert in interviewing with an ability to understand the human behind the skillset and identify human potential
  • Collaborates to develop and foster a culture of DEI based practices including non-traditional sourcing methods to embracing referrals

  • Minimum 8 years in the work of talent acquisition with a focus on engaging passive candidates
  • Proven track record of success with a variety of recruiting methods including: direct sourcing, social recruiting and market mapping
  • Proven ability to identify, engage, assess and close candidates, including for leadership and highly specialized roles
  • Experience in developing efficient and effective business processes that support candidate sourcing
  • Experience managing highly specialist and/or executive level searches
  • High level of experience working with technology tools related to applicant tracking system, crm, candidate database and reporting 
  • Innovative, creative and strategic thinker
