The Department
Capital Markets IT (CMI) involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
Role Overview
The position of the candidate is within the Capital Market Sales IT team that focuses on technical improvements and automation in the areas of Development or Quality Assurance (QA) related to applications used by our front office Salespersons. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the software engineering and quality assurance processes in a major Bank.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to partake the following projects:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Translate raw chats between Sales and Traders by using Natural Language Processing (NLP), and to gain patterns and insights about the market.
- Operational Efficiency: Build tools to automate the tasks of our application support teams to enable efficiency and scalability. Modernize our workflows with industry-recognized SRE and DevOps tools.
- Development and Test Automation: Implement an NLP project to translate test cases that are described in plain language into executable test scripts written through AI.
Qualifications and Profile
- Pursuing Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong passion for software development and quality assurance.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, & curious.
- Independent contributor with the ability to collaborate and work effectively within the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to latest/new technologies.
