The Department
Capital Markets IT (CMI) involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Cloud & AI/ML Architecture & Engineering intern to join our Architectue & Innovation team. This is a critical role in our Capital Markets IT department, responsible for designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge Cloud and AI/ML solutions by leveraging the power of cloud and AI/ML for transformative, data-driven innovations.
As a Cloud & AI/ML Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in designing and implemnting cloud native solutions by collaborating with architects, engineers, and functional experts to experiment with innovative ideas, building prototypes, and contribute to our data platform and AI initiatives. You will also be exposed to DevOps practices, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and infrastructure as code, to help steamline development and deployment processes.
Mission
As an intern, your mission is to become a valuable asset to our organization by:
AI/ML Systems Design and Development
- Support design and development of AI/ML prototypes for capital markets operations (e.g., trade data analytics, risk management, IT support chatbots).
- Work with AWS/Azure cloud services (compute, storage, data, ML pipelines) to set up experiments and proof-of-concepts.
- Assist in data preparation and analysis (trade, product, client datasets) for model training and evaluation.
- Explore generative AI and LLM-based applications for business and IT use cases.
- Document experiment outcomes and contribute to architecture knowledge base and reusable assets.
- Collaborate with global teams (Singapore, Paris, other hubs) and present findings in knowledge-sharing sessions.
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

Qualifications and Profile
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Terraforms.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with data engineering (SQL, Pandas, Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, & curious.
- Independent contributor with the ability to collaborate and work effectively within the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to latest/new technologies.
The scope will be adapted depending on the situation and the progress of the trainee.
