Byte is looking for a strong VP, Human Resources to direct and oversee the company’s HR plans in ways that support our mission and overall strategy for the next chapter of our growing organization.

This position has high accountability and reports directly to the CEO. We want candidates who can prove they are leaders and strategic thinkers, effective people managers, innovators, and problem-solvers. 

This position will lead a team that drives our People programs, practices, processes, and policy. The ideal candidate will have a huge impact on our organization, including organizational development, employee relations, employee engagement and satisfaction.

What you will do.

  • Function as a trusted adviser and thought partner to senior leadership to drive an accountable, performance-based and purpose-driven culture.
  • Track organization health and culture to ensure it is tuned to drive business success. Use data driven tools and processes to develop solutions to continuously improve org effectiveness.
  • Be an ambassador for our culture. Advocate and uphold our values and practices to ensure our culture continues as a competitive advantage for our business.
  • Partner with leadership to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies to ensure Byte’s workforce is representative and that we create an inclusive environment where all employees feel they belong and can perform at their best.
  • Drive the development of leadership capabilities and strengthen the leadership pipeline through succession planning, organization/role design and high-impact leadership development experiences.
  • Advise leaders on best people practices, processes and policies including working with the current HR Management team on proposed changes that will create operational effectiveness.
  • Devise and develop effective communication between and among management and employees across our global organization.
  • Advise on performance and rewards planning processes and compensation activities during the year.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with management to achieve both HR and business objectives.
  • Understanding of key business and financial drivers and demonstrated strong delivery of HR results.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to develop and deliver actions in support of the business.

  • You are an experienced Human Resource leader, having come from other hyper growth companies where you scaled teams from 100 - 1000+ employees
  • You are a strategic thinker and doer; you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to pitch in and get the job done with a lean team. Your culture sensitivity skills enable you to get along with people at all levels of the organization
  • An excellent connector who collaborates, problem solves, and can help celebrate wins while learning from mistakes and always keeping the team in mind.
  • Awareness of social topics and issues and their impact on Human Capital, recruitment strategies etc.
  • A solid track record of influencing senior business leaders while demonstrating excellent decision quality.
  • Ability to assess and address business and interpersonal growth areas within the executive team.
  • Ability to develop progressive, proactive, and cost-effective processes and programs to address employee engagement and retention.
  • You celebrate your teams’ success, and you empathize with them during hard times. You foster a sense of belonging and empowerment

Skills you bring.

  • 10+ years’ experience in HR function(s) with strong working knowledge of all key functional areas such as employment law, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
  • 8+ years leading HR/People Ops/Talent Acquisition teams in high growth companies or division of large company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related field.
  • Experience with global workforce (US state, federal and international employments regulations).
