Email Marketing Manager

As an email marketing manager at Byte, you’ll play a vital role in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-moving environment for a growing brand. You will oversee the planning, strategy, set up, testing, execution, and optimization of both US and international email and SMS campaigns. This role will require an innovative and forward moving mentality, focusing not only on email marketing initiatives, but also by supporting other Byte teams and their efforts relating to email & SMS.


To include but not be limited to:

  • Manage the strategy, creation, deployment, and reporting for promotional, automated, and internal email marketing initiatives.
  • Develop, test, and iterate on customer segmentation strategy.
  • Build, QA, and send email marketing campaigns as well as customer & internal communication emails.
  • Develop and implement the email campaign calendar for promotions, transactional messages, updates, and informative emails.
  • Ensure that emails follow best practice & compliance to improve deliverability.
  • Collaborate with other channel owners, data teams to build post-send reporting, including recommendations for enhancements and testing.
  • Work with internal and external creative teams to create and build compelling and sophisticated email marketing campaigns.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines, from quick turnarounds to longer, in-depth projects.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or equivalent experience in email marketing strategy and automation.
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise-level email service providers; experience with ActiveCampaign or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience with email automation and relevant technology, automation strategy and execution, and data analytics.
  • Firm understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, TCPA and other email/SMS compliance regulations.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, & CSS - enough to build an email from templates.
  • Strong organizational ability and time management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
