Byte is looking for an experienced assistant controller with a proven ability to effectively collaborate across functional disciplines and geographies. This role requires fundamental knowledge and experience in design and analysis of business processes and systems, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization. Must also be comfortable working in a global business environment undergoing process and technology changes.

What You Will Do:

  • You will work under the direct supervision of the Controller who works closely with the VP, Americas Accounting, US CCO Accounting Director, US FP&A Team, Corporate functional Teams, and the Site Leadership Team.
  • Responsible for managing and directing the Accounting team (GL, AP, AR, Payroll) in Utah and LA.
  • Learn and understand Dentsply Sirona’s (byte’s parent company) reporting structure as this is necessary due to the many intercompany relationships and legal entities. Understanding the Product Groups/Commercial/Supply Chain/Corporate Pillars and legal entity structure is important in preparing the actuals data necessary for the monthly financial and management reporting.
  • Prepares statements of monthly financial data including income statement and balance sheet. Analyzes financial results as compared to monthly objectives and prior year results.
  • Reviews the financial performance measurements, while ensuring financial performance reporting and tax reporting is accurate, timely. Reporting must be in compliance with Company Accounting Policies, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
  • Ensures that the proper procedures, policies, and controls are in place as designed in order to maintain strong internal controls and conducts continuous education of site personnel so that there is compliance with these requirements.
  • Other duties include performing reconciliations on general ledger accounts as needed; monitoring variances; record management; preparation of all internal and external reporting functions; preparing, reviewing, and verifying journal entries; reviewing financial statements; internal controls in conformance with established SOX processes, and serving as liaison with external parties (Corporate, Product Group, Country Commercial Organization (CCO), Supply Chain, consultants). Additionally, participate in new ERP system implementation activities as required.

About You:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting or other related discipline is required
  • Master’s degree in finance or Business Administration is preferred


  • CPA, CMA or related international certification preferred

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of accounting, general Ledger and financial close experience
  • Minimum of 3 years successfully leading a team of 3 or more individuals
  • Experience with Hyperion suite of products a plus
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exposure Quickbooks and AX ERP systems a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and Internal control/SOX process
