Job Title: Application Specialist                            

Job Summary:

Qualified Application Specialist with the ability to learn software products from a vendor and deliver that training in person or remotely to end user customers. Responsible for control of the technical configuration of project assets by applying processes for documentation, change control management, reconfiguration, base lining, data management and other relevant processes. 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with vendors to learn software products and train end users.
  • Good working knowledge of technology and systems.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.
  • Strategically identify and meet business needs through the use of technology, cost effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Must be proactive and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Familiar with applications including accounting, inventory, billing, and service delivery is a plus.
  • Administer and maintain version control software with IT counterpart
  • Support the source change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software
  • Support the software quality assurance process audits
  • Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation
  • Responsible for configuration change control and management of the change control board.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer and detail oriented and possess good decision-making abilities
  • Travel to remote company work locations may be required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment
  • Flexible work schedule to occasionally work evenings and weekends.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or Business required.
  • Standard Microsoft applications, including Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • 5 years or more experience working in IT capacity.
