Day, swing and overnight shifts available, rotating weekends required.

Emergency Veterinary Technician
Burlington Emergency and Veterinary Specialists in Williston, VT
$22.00-$30.00 an hour based on experience, schedule availability, and licensure.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
- Perform triage and initial interventions in the critical emergent patient.
- Conducts basic examinations to assess stability.
- Perform advanced nursing skills, including CPR, Phlebotomy, Cystocentesis, lab tests and various medication administration
- Administer and monitor sedated patients for minor procedures as well as advanced anesthetic skills for emergency surgery
- Perform continued hospitalized care for ICU and Isolation patients
- Perform patient discharges and admit patients to the ICU.
- Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients.
- Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
- Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
- Minimum two years of prior veterinary hospital experience required, prior emergency experience preferred
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
