The Opportunity
Leverage your industry expertise and join our expanding team in the Agency Service Representative I (ASR I’s) role! ASR I’s will learn to effectively rate all lines and transaction types. ASR I’s will provide customer service to internal/external clients while meeting established quality and productivity standards. The success of our company is rooted in teamwork, the way we care about the people we work with and service. This hybrid role will work in our Raleigh office a minimum of two days with the flexibility of remote work three days a week.
Your WORK as an Agency Service Representative will make a difference by:
- Determine timely and accurate premium charge for commercial lines business using automated and some manual methods.
- Learn how to determine appropriate codes and classifications on commercial line policies
- Learn how to interpret and apply the appropriate rating rules referring to Commercial Lines Manual (CLM) and rating worksheets as necessary
- Provide customer service support to agents and underwriters, handling various inquiries and requests.
- Order and screen miscellaneous reports needed in the rating and underwriting processes, such as ISO rates, Motor Vehicle Reports, loss history reports, credit checks, loss control, etc.
Skills to get the JOB done RIGHT:
- High School Diploma with at least 1-3 years of relevant insurance industry experience especially in rating and/or commercial lines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Customer Services Skills- Internal and External
- Insurance Courses and Designations Preferred (e.g., CRIS)
- Learns the fundamentals of insurance
- Strong PC (MS Office, Outlook) skills; knowledge of policy processing systems and imaging systems preferred
