Position Summary

Group Business Manager will support and manage multiple sales professionals and customers in the area of  - Newport, IN, Henderson, KY, and Cedar Rapids, IA. The Group Business Manager will focus primarily on developing new business while maintaining existing customers in their region or strategic business unit to drive new sales. Utilize Buckman’s unique smart digital technologies and customer relationship management programs to grow business and customer relationships. Help to technically support team members as needed.  This position is critical to diversifying the customer base of the region while actively focused on MPC generation sales projects. Leading and coaching the personnel reporting to them is a very important task as we strive for knowledge sharing people who are able to make their whole team stronger.    

Main Success Metrics

  • Safety Leader
  • MPC generation at new customer accounts
  • Year-over-Year Revenue and MPC growth within accounts of assigned responsibility
  • New accounts/ programs gained in KPMs, tracked quarterly
  • Highly involved with sales funnel planning and tracking with RSM or Strategic Account Leader
  • Associate Development
  • Performance Management of Team

Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
  • Pulp & Paper, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology. Pulp & Paper Degree preferred.
  • 5 years + proven sales record and or years related experience and/or training
  • Successful selling record, preferably in chemical sales. Specific training in pulp and paper science is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business/finance and terminology desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years + proven sales record and or years related experience and/or training
  • Large account management experience – 3+ MM sales/year
  • Consignment inventory and billing experience
  • P&L management for a accounts within assigned responsibility
  • Solid understanding of smart digital solutions and can identify customer opportunities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business/finance and terminology desirable.
