1.    Mission Statement

Contributes to the success of Buckman’s digital strategy by collaborating with the digital team, stakeholders and external partners on initiatives and successfully leading work on regional/ global projects.

2.    Outcomes

  • Successfully completes work on digital regional/global projects throughout the entire life cycle of product development, including idea generation, rapid prototyping to develop MVP candidates, product development, and commercial deployment. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of project(s) and how implementation interacts with other pieces of the system. Leads and successfully completes aspects of regional/global projects in areas of focus.
  • Works with external development partners and reviews SOW technical documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Demonstrates an openness to new ideas and ways of looking at things.  Takes the initiative to learn innovative methods, tools, and technology and show others how they can be applied to work tasks. 
  • Offers original ideas and promising new solutions.  Appreciates others’ creative ideas and solutions and provides helpful input to enhance them.

5.    Minimum requirement to apply

Must have had successful experiences:

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus 7 years experience or M.S. (or equivalent experience) in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus 5 years experience or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus 3 years experience.
  • Has at least two years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise in one or more focus areas (sensor development, automation and controls, back end, front end, native application dev, data science, etc.).
