1.    Mission Statement

The SIOP Manager role is responsible for the supply chain management process that enables our company to project future demand and successfully customize company output according to those projections.  We seek to achieve and maintain an effectively lean supply equilibrium, one in which store inventories contain just as many products as demand dictates, but no more. Finding that perfect balance that exists between sufficiency and surplus. A SIOP Manager is responsible for serving as the expert for all forecasting activities of demand planning of finished goods.

2.    Outcomes

  • Own and lead the demand planning process
  • Forecasting new product launches during the pre-launch phase
  • Manager product phase-outs such that obsolete inventory is minimized
  • Review and recommend capacity loading on assigned production line and forecast
  • Provide oversight of forecast accuracy
  • Planning and develop analysis and offer recommendation to management
  • Leverage Lean or Six Sigma tools to process improvement to increase service and optimize inventory
  • Serve as primary contact with sales and planning on forecast issues
  • Developing objectives and targets for performance
  • Accountable for results
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning
  • Conduct analysis and recommend solutions for order allocation where worldwide service is maximized
  • Complete complex spreadsheet analysis during issue resolution or scenario planning and develop risk analysis and offer recommendations to management
  • Leading meetings with departments such as Planning, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Engineering, Purchasing and Product Development, to develop an accurate and timely master production schedule AND to ensure schedule adherence, service levels and inventory
  • Prepare Executive Level presentation as required

 

3.    Education

  • BS/BA degree with 10+ years of related experience; or MBA/MSA in a relevant discipline and 4 plus years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  

4.    Desired Skills:

  • Must have strong understanding of forecasting techniques, inventory management, and capacity planning
  • Expert-level knowledge of Advanced Planning systems (APS) and ERP.
  • Direct experience with SAP
  • CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) certification
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must have advanced software skills (SAP, ERP, APS, and Excel)
  • High Organization capabilities
