Mission Statement 

We are looking for a highly motivated Sourcing Manager 

  

Contribute to the success of Buckman EMENA most by managing our relationships with our suppliers, 

managing the total costs involved with the supply chain and by ultimately ensuring for the reliable supply 

of purchased materials.

  • Manage Supplier Relations
  • Establish secure supply agreements for raw materials and services for Buckman EMENA
  • Provide for an Efficient Purchasing Process Flow in accordance with established Financial Policies
  • Assist Materials Planning and Control in effective Raw Materials Inventory Management
  • Ensure the supply of quality materials and adherence to BQS/ISO 9001 requirements

  

Minimum requirement to apply 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university – preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or correlates.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the chemical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the Buckman industry is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing and purchasing principles
  • Good knowledge of sourcing policies and procedures
  • Good understanding of financial management principles
  • Good understanding of strategy implementation
  • Good business acumen and understanding
  • Good understanding of inventory costing methodology and procedures
  • Good understanding of project portfolio management principles
  • Good understanding of relevant corporate governance requirements
  • Good understanding of core business principles
  • Broad knowledge of chemical industry
  • Good understanding of product chemistry
  • Good knowledge of safety, policies, procedures and legislation
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain fundamentals
  • Knowledge of SAP/ ERP systems and capabilities
