Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of the selected candidate will be to safely maintain and repair operating equipment. The Mechanical Craftsman responsibilities will include a variety equipment that includes but not limited to, pumps, mechanical seals, valves, actuators, compressors, agitators, boilers, regulators, piping, and fittings. Previous mechanical experience will be considered to determine the Craftsman’s grade level.

Basic Qualifications

  • High level of experience of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, seals, etc.)
  • Background of predictive and preventative maintenance programs
  • Must possess a CI (continuous improvement) mind set
  • Ability to read and understand OEM manuals
  • Capable of prioritizing work based on customer demand
  • Can do accurate mathematical computations.
  • Can safely operate a sit-down forklift.
  • Meets physical requirements/specifications including walking, standing, stairs, lifting 50#’s, working in ambient conditions and on elevated platforms.
  • Meets medical requirements including ability to wear cartridge respirator.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical craftsman in industrial setting
  • Chemical plant experience preferred

    • Associate Degree or Trade School Degree preferred
