Objective of the Position

Buckman is seeking an Innovation Marketer to play a pivotal role in shaping market strategies and driving the commercialization of groundbreaking technologies. The position will closely work with R&D leaders to identify market patterns, segment needs, macro trends and help translate market insights into innovation priorities. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a STEM background and an MBA, who possess strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering innovation. The Innovation Marketer will be instrumental in ensuring new products meet market needs and deliver substantial business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct marketing analysis and gather business intelligence to align with Buckman’s core strategies
  • Perform competitive business analysis to identify opportunities and threats
  • Discover and validate the value hypothesis for new technologies; develop pricing strategies based on market insights
  • Motivate and align with senior business leaders to initiate innovation projects
  • Serve as a co-leader in global innovation projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders
  • Prepare comprehensive business cases and financial estimates for innovation projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and stakeholder alignment
  • Design methods and metrics to verify technology value through field-scale market trials
  • Generate detailed value documentation and case histories; monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet defined goals
  • Partner with sales and business teams to establish and achieve impact goals for new technologies
  • Plan and execute the global launch of new technologies, ensuring successful market adoption
  • Drive innovation culture

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Chemistry or Chemical engineering preferred)
  • MBA from an accredited institution or nearing completion of an accredited MBA program
  • Leadership aptitude and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Initiative taker and change maker
  • Industrial experience is a plus but not required
