Position Summary


Maintain and improve the corporate building and grounds, including security, safety, appearance, and functionality, while directing staff, outside suppliers, contractors, and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies.  Ensuring that daily and weekly security, cleaning, and maintenance schedules are maintained as well as determining and scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements and safety inspections.  Effectively managing multiple departmental budgets and negotiating with outside vendors for supplies, repairs, and other services.  Allocates office space and ensures that office equipment, including desks, chairs, bookcases, etc. are safe for use and maintain a consistently professional appearance.  Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management and security services.   

Essential Job Responsibilities

Oversees buildings and ground maintenance
Oversees security services
Operate and maintain custodial functions
Make sure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly
Ensure that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
Manages and reviews service contracts
Conduct and document regular facilities inspection and provide gap analysis of the findings
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and assist with energy management
Lead, direct, and manage the facilities team and security staff, to ensure the team has a clear direction and expectations

Knowledge:    
• Fundamentals of risk-based process safety management
• Demonstrated agility with technology and computer systems, particularly Concur and other business systems
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Education: 
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or university 
• 6 to 8 years’ experience in facilities maintenance.
