Objective:

To be involved in all aspects of accounting and finance activities and ensure finance function is well organized and achieves compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements. Identify key causes/drivers of business variances for performance measurement. Supports management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, evaluating information and recommending actions. This position will report to Finance Director – APAC based in Singapore office.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Professional qualification in accountancy like ACCA and CPA certification is preferred

Mandate Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity with prior exposure in ANZ.
  • MNC chemical/manufacturing industry experience is advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years audit experience with a major accounting firms or relevant experience with MNCs.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in SAP FICO application 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and efficient day to day operation of the finance and accounting function in Australia
  • Work with Shared Service team in India for transactional support and manage the month end close & reporting process.
  • Accurate Financial reporting, intercompany accounting / netting, corporate tax filing / taxation and comply with local authorities.
  • Perform trial balance reconciliation and P&L analysis
  • Analyse variances and results of the company and prepare commentary and management report / dashboard for the OpCo or Business Unit performance
  • Ensuring funding & banking for the operation, assist in the forecasting and annual budgeting exercise and implement a risk management program.
  • Review, recommend and implement good internal controls, policies and procedures. .
  • Provide operational support to local management team as a key finance business partner
  • Responsible for office administration and HR support
  • Lead major projects in accounting / finance as required
  • Develop programs to automate work processes for continuous improvement. 

Skill Requirements:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, Company Acts and Regulation with hands-on experience in using SAP software.
  • Knowledge of local and regional exposure to employment law and legislations, practices and requirements.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirement / regulations / acts / various taxes (GST / VAT / Excise) in ANZ
  • Computer proficiency in QlikView, SAP Outlook, ERP systems (SAP), advance MS Office applications with good Excel skills.
  • Able to maintain best accounting practice and internal controls over all Company transactions.
  • Excellent professional presentation skills and experience in conducting workshops/training.
  • Diagnose problems, interpret information, resourceful and critically evaluates information for win-win solution.
  • Proactive individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; and are comfortable and deal with people from various nationals, cultural backgrounds and at all different levels.
  • Highly motivated, dedicated, hands-on and resourceful who is proactive, patient, self-driven and results oriented
  • Multi-tasking ability is essential and able to perform under stress.
  • Ability to work effectively with the other finance and accounting functions including those in sister companies.
  • Possess high level of integrity to maintain confidentiality of information.
