Position Summary  

The point person for building and improving the sales pipeline for existing and new business opportunities for Buckman’s Emergent Markets team.  Key responsibilities include generating leads, uncovering new opportunities, and facilitating initial contact while focusing on growing revenues at existing accounts within territory.

  • Builds the sales pipeline by conducting outbound calls to potential customers to sell products/services and create appointments for fields sales associates.
  • Creates positive customer engagement by managing and executing outbound business development activities with an emphasis on order renewals, cross-selling and upselling to the existing Buckman Digital Water Treatment customers.
  • Ensures that an excellent customer experience is provided. Answers questions, follows-up on problems/issues, gathers customer feedback, conducts business reviews (in collaboration with Sales Representative), and ensures services are effectively provided. 
  • Collaborates closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive new business.
  • Uses social media to promote the brand, engage, interact, and influence potential and current customers.
  • Builds a network (internally and with customer base) to ensure that customer issues/concerns are quickly resolved.

Job Responsibilities  

  • Create and capture demand in the market through customer outreach, qualifying leads and building a healthy pipeline
  • Qualify leads from web-based inquiries, customer lists, and market intelligence tools
  • Facilitate initial interaction with field resources
  • Retain and expand current accounts remotely, via phone, email and other digital mediums
  • Collaborate with Leadership to ensure smooth account transitions from field associates
  • Contribute to profitability by managing attrition and margins
  • Solidify overall sales strategy for account portfolio
  • Participate in the S I and Op process

Must have had successful experiences:  

  • 1-3 years of  inside sales experience in the chemical industry
  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering from a 4 year college or university
