Mission of the position

Marketing Communications Specialist's mission is to increase the visibility and credibility of the global Buckman brand, through effective and measurable tactics that speak to customers and help grow sales in our target markets. Manage Buckman’s regional marketing communications for the operating company for each of its target markets; primarily paper, leather, water and Emergent Markets. Manage and distribute internal communications to effectively communicate with regional associates. In addition, managing external public relations with local, national and trade press as needed. Plan with execute marketing tactics to support Buckman's strategic plans for key target markets; and manage all marketing projects. Work as the bridge between global marketing and local management and sales to manage projects; and to act as both an extension of global marketing and a voice for the region at the same time

 

Responsibilities

Customer Experience

  • Be responsible for compiling and analysing customer survey
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of the value proposition and the quality of our service, correcting problems, and giving customers a superior experience

Marketing & Communication

  • Coordinate Global Marketing Communications' global market plans, rollouts and campaigns
  • Cultivate business segment and competitive knowledge
  • Develop regional marketing plans for all target markets, coordinated with Global Marketing
  • Public Relations for Region
  • Crisis communications
  • Manage the region's trade show and conference participation

Strategic Planner

  • Facilitate strategic planning process, supporting all areas and departments

Marketing Intelligence

  • Identify, collect and perform appropriate analysis on customer, competitor, market, economic and/or operational data;
  • Translate data and proactively make recommendations to management through market
  • intelligence reports improving effective strategic and tactical decision-making process;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and research institutes to identify emerging needs and business challenges.

 

Minimum requirements

  • University Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) or equivalent
  • 4-6 years’ experience in the role.
  • Fluent/Advanced English and Spanish
