Position Summary

The role will play a pivotal role in executing Buckman’s strategic procurement roadmap. The Procurement Analyst will support the ongoing category management processes by providing analytics and insights, creating and maintaining cost models, tracking and reporting trends & outcomes and supporting supplier relationship management processes.

 

  • Utilizes internal and external resources to develop detailed cost modeling and market tracking tools.
  • Develops and maintains KPI tracking tools and performance reporting.
  • Provides analysis to support negotiations and category management, such as SWOT, Porter’s 5 forces, supply chain mapping, should-cost modeling, etc.
  • Monitors market and industry publications; provides summaries and key insights to leadership.
  • Drives incremental value in sourcing efforts by deploying critical thinking and problem-solving skills Prepares RFX & SOW documents and assists in supplier selection.
  • Communicates with suppliers and internal stakeholders on root cause analysis and resolution of quality, service or other supplier performance issues. Coordinates CCAR process.
  • Coordinates the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes, including building and maintaining scorecards.
  • Owns Procurement Master Data Management processes and ensures accurate information is maintained in the ERP system.

Highly Desirable Experiences

          SAP and e-procurement software experience

Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, engineering or other quantitative discipline.
  • Three (3) years work experience in procurement, commercial, supply chain or other business function
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organization skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP and e-procurement software experience
