Senior Equipment Specialist
Location: Chennai, India Required Language: English Employment Type: Permanent Seniority Level: Mid Senior Level Travel: 25%
Qualification:

Engineering in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Instrumentation with 8-10 years of experience in managing engineering project, knowledge in chemical dosing equipment and field instrumentation.

Experience providing effective leadership and work direction to individuals and engineers, locally and remotely.

Experience working with cross-functional leaders, project stakeholders and operation team

Knowledge/Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design and drafting software will be an added advantage

Cross-geographical and culturally sensitive skills

Knowledge and experience in Pulp and Paper Industry will be an added advantage

Effective communication skills and stakeholder management is a necessary skill for the job

Project mangement skills and Problem-Solving Skills

Knowledge on chemical hazards and safety standards in handling chemicals.

Willing to travel across India.
New Hire Job Description:

Establish work processes and drive perfect execution culture across engineers including appropriate performance metrics/dashboards and project management discipline.

Ability to coordinate and collaborate with remote resources and teams, and strong managerial skills to lead technical associates (equipment specialists).

Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others (must be able to build rapport with team)

Work closely with senior leadership team, collaborate and align with BU strategies.

Work closely with the field sales associates and Division Manager to support sales efforts in the field of customer service equipment and engineering applications for all industries.

Work collaboratively with engineers in designing equipment and layout for specialize equipment construction.

Lead the planning, purchasing, constructing, implementation, test and start-up of field equipment.

Project Management within cost and time constrained environments

Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant to Engineering Standards, Safety Standards, Health, Safety & Environmental regulatory standards

Meet with OEM’s, contractors for specialize and custom-built equipment

Providing on-site training and problem solving for our customers and sales associates on equipment and engineering issues (if any)
