Position Summary
As a Senior Purchasing specialist, you will, be responsible for day to day purchasing operations and collaborate with the Technical Sales Team for the sourcing initiatives. You will appraise and improve supplying partnerships and will be a skilled negotiator with previous experience in Chemical’s manufacturing industry with special focus on Speciality chemical manufacturing industry.
Education
- Full time BSC/MSC in chemistry from a reputed university
- Relevant Supply chain or Procurement Certification programme will be an advantage
Work Experience
- 5-10 years’ experience in sourcing & purchasing in process, Industrial & Speciality chemicals industry.
- Preferred additional experience in handling chemicals related to Pulp, Paper and Water treatment industries.
Additional Skills
- SAP MM, with focus on Purchase modules
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Outlook and data base management
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Proficient in English, Tamil, Hindi, with good oral and written communication skill.
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
- Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good work ethics
