Mission of the position

Performs Analysis and recommendations for Pricing, Contracts, and Product Managers to drive Target Pricing and Bid Management.  New Technology and Disruptive Technology via master data management, Market Data analysis, Market trends and analytics, etc. Analyze and provide cost drivers, commodity indices, trends and information to support price adjustments at customers and product portfolio analysis and decisions.

 

Responsibilities

Safety – Improve Safety by:

  • Perform all activities with safety as the top priority.
  • Provide guidance on safety to less experienced associates.
  • Promote a culture of safety by identifying and reporting potential safety issues

Price Analytics – Generate Data for Price Governance:

  • Provides Data Analysis to drive setting of Target Pricing
  • Price and Volume Analytics by Market
  • Win / Loss Rates – CRM
  • Competitive Intelligence / price assumptions– CRM
  • Market and Cost Index and Trends
  • Pricing analytics, governance, execution, dashboarding, & reporting for contracts and non-standard billing processes

Contract Analytics – Build BID Analysis by:

  • Compiling and Maintaining Bid Management Workbook
  • Building Contract Proforma
  • Bid Scenario Building
  • Cross Functional alignment and work with Finance to build out Bid P&L and Accurate Product Cost Modeling.
  • Monthly Analysis of contract profitability:
  • Monthly MPC and GP analytics for contracts (flag Red Flag Contracts for immediate action and communicate to Sales leadership)
  • Bi-annual Contract business reviews
  • Drives reduction of SLOB with local SCM team and operations
  • Works with Operations and Procurement to develop quarterly product costing and forecast trends for the commercial team to utilize in price negotiations.

Product Line Analytics – Analyzes Product Lines by:

  • Analyze performance of product portfolios, including sales portfolio profitability – utilize to drive product mix, rationalization, product substitution, Manufacturing process changes, make vs buy decisions, raw material substitutions…etc.
  • Portfolio and Mix Analysis for Product Specialist

CRM Maintenance – Coordinate with S&OP by:

  • Maintain and approve Competitor Data entry into CRM
  • Work with IT to Create fields, reports and Dashboards for Commercial team Accountability and planning in CRM
  • Win / Loss Rates – CRM
  • Competitive Intelligence / price assumptions– CRM

New products and Disruptive Technologies Analysis – Perform Market Analysis by:

  • Master Data analytics and maintenance
  • Market Data base analysis
  • Market Trend analysis and analytics which include but not limited to;
  • Fisher Solve and CEPI
  • Dynamics
  • Press releases and earnings analysis
  • Special analytics on request

 

Minimum requirements

  • University Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) or equivalent
  • 4-6 years’ experience in the role.
  • Fluent/Advanced English
