Expectations for the role
Payroll Operations
- Lead and optimize payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to manage payroll schedules and data flow.
- Liaise with external payroll and benefits providers.
- Act as the Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Communicate payroll updates and resolve employee queries.
- Support audits and respond to tax-related notices.
Benefits Administration
- Manage relationships with providers and advisors.
- Oversee benefit documentation and resolve inquiries.
- Administer benefit plans and evaluate annual renewals.
- Benchmark benefits every 3 years and recommend improvements.
Compliance & Process Management
- Ensure approvals for remuneration and benefit changes.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll process documentation.
- Manage travel and salary advances per policy.
- Communicate benefit changes effectively.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and address process inefficiencies.
- Apply Lean methodologies and drive automation.
- Align with IT and Digital teams for tech-driven enhancements.
Qualifications
- Experience with Belgian payroll (WCW, BCW), ideally in chemistry industry.
- Exposure to international payroll and multi-country operations.
- Experience in benefits management and vendor negotiations
- Familiarity with 116 and 207 parity-preferable
