Job Description
We are looking for an individual to own and drive all aspects of logistics management. The role will reside inside of Supply Chain, and will report to the Logistics Manager.
- Work closely with supply chain stakeholders to understand the current practices, and tee up a prioritized list of initiatives in close collaboration the supply chain team
- Performs forecasting, freight optimization, data visibility and analyses
- Optimize inventory levels
- Collaborate with a wide swath of stakeholders including manufacturing, logistics, customer service and procurement teams, Digital team, R&D, Sales, Finance, Marketing etc.
- The scope is global and you will be required to work with stakeholders located in our operating companies to drive initiatives within North America
- Fundamental understanding of supply chain and digital tolls is required
Basic Qualifications
- Associates' degree in an engineering, science, or business discipline from an accredited college or university
- 4+ years experience in logistics
- Understanding key elements of supply chain, such as but not limited to demand and supply planning processes, logistics processes, inventory planning processes
- Previous knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) and/or instrumentation and controls
- Strong communications skills across all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-4 years specific experience in in developing, implementing or supporting portfolio projects in supply chain
- Prior demonstrated experience in supply chain, customer service in a specialty chemicals company, preferably in a global scope.
