Position Summary
Ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of high-quality chemical products that meet customer specifications while maintaining compliance with ISO procedures and safety regulations. Success in this role is demonstrated by adherence to production standards, minimal rework, accurate documentation, and proactive problem-solving
Key Outcomes/Responsibilities
Outcome: Accurate and efficient Batch Production
Actions:
· Select appropriate raw materials to ensure batch quality and consistency.
· Execute batch manufacturing processes per documented ISO procedures.
· Conduct in-process sampling and enter results into the system to validate batch quality.
· Package and label finished batches accurately to maintain traceability
· Complete all documentation thoroughly and accurately to meet compliance standards.
Outcome: Quality Control and Continuous Improvement
Actions:
· Identify and segregate non-conforming batches using the red-tagging process.
Utilize the DCAR system to report and address deviations and quality concerns.
Rework materials as needed to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
Outcome: Safety and Compliance
Actions:
· Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Buckman Quality System (BSQ) guidelines to ensure safe operations.
Conduct lockout procedures and equipment preparation to support maintenance activities.
Perform weekly safety inspections and promptly address any identified hazards
Utilize proper valve, hose, piping, and tank setup to prevent spills and contamination.
Outcome: Operational Efficiency and Problem Solving
Actions:
· Diagnose and resolve equipment or process issues, such as resetting motors and adjusting process parameters.
· Use time effectively to maximize production output and reduce downtime.
· Move raw materials efficiently from staging areas to vessels for seamless production.
Outcome: Workplace Organization and Compliance
Actions:
· Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment
·Follow proper price-tagging procedures to ensure accurate product identification and inventory control
Engage in continuous learning and adherence to documented procedures to enhance productivity and safety
Basic Qualifications
- Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or equivalent college credits hours preferred Management
- Job Experience: 2 - 3 years
- Prior chemical manufacturing experience will be evaluated to determine the appropriate operator grade level
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
