Position Summary

Reporting to the US Billing Supervisor, this position is responsible for account administration on behalf of the US Brokerage division at Buckland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of US account administration to include but not exclusive to:
    • Coordinate and assist in transitioning accounts over to Buckland (Transition Action Plan – TAP)
    • Liaison between intercompany departments with regards to potential set up and/or inquires
    • Assess new business opportunities
    • Administration of new account setup in US brokerage software (including rates, parties, HTS, and PGA information)
    • Apply for and manage all Continuous and Single Transaction Bond activities
  • Ability to develop and position solutions to new and existing customers
  • Proven ability to onboard customers
  • Create first entry/entry summary/billing to support the operations
  • Collect any required fees up front
  • Conduct post sale follow up and ongoing needs analysis
  • Communication with possible One Time and Full Account inquiries on import/export regulations
  • Work in unison with the sales and service team on issues arising from service calls
  • Willing to travel short distances (between offices)


The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Post-secondary education and a minimum of 2 years Customs Brokerage experience
  • NCBFAA's Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Designation (must maintain yearly status)
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and multi-tasking skills
  • Self-starter and able to support External Sales Teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills including oral and written communication
  • Reliable, positive, and self-motivated team player
  • Strong computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office and a networked environment
