Assignment Editor Trainee
WINK News, Southwest Florida`s News leader, has an immediate opening for an Assignment Editor Trainee. This is an entry level position and we will train. The applicant will initially work weekday evenings, but after training shift may change. Must demonstrate solid news skills, have strong leadership, organizational and communication ability. Will help coordinate news coverage, dispatch crews, enterprise stories, monitor scanners, check beats and will help populate our website. Candidate will gain an understanding of newsgathering technology including ENG/SNG, ENPS, and online research. College degree and experience in a television newsroom a plus.
