 Segment Producer & Booker: News & Lifestyle Program

WINK News is seeking a talented and dynamic News & Lifestyle Segment Producer and Booker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating captivating and informative segments for our daily one-hour program, focusing on Southwest Florida's news, weather, lifestyle, arts, culture, food, and entertainment scenes.

As part of this exciting new program, you will have access to the extensive resources of the WINK News department, as well as collaboration opportunities with Gulfshore Life, Gulfshore Business, and The Naples Press. Our program's primary focus is to deliver local content that resonates with our audience.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of producing high-quality segments on arts, culture, lifestyle, or local entertainment. We require prior experience in generating segment ideas, conducting in-depth topic research, identifying and booking expert guests, and similar skills that demonstrate your ability to create compelling content.

Alongside your expertise in segment production, we value positive leadership and excellent people skills. Creativity, strong news judgment, superb writing abilities, and exceptional showcasing and production skills are crucial for success in this role. As the Segment Producer/Booker, you will work under the guidance of the Executive Producer, collaborating closely with the Lifestyle team within the WINK News department.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in broadcast journalism or program production preferred.
  • Experience researching and producing topical segments.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
