Production Specialist

Job Summary
- The Production Specialist will act as a trainer and mentor to Operations Managers and Supervisors, ensuring a deep understanding of BrightView's culture, quality standards, and production efficiencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly training sessions for Operations Managers to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Mentor Operations Managers and Supervisors in key areas such as quality, efficiency, and operational best practices.
- Continuously seek innovative ideas and creative solutions to improve production efficiencies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, testing their effectiveness and incorporating them into production through hands-on training.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and establish systems to measure the effectiveness of innovations.
- Analyze and implement production improvements tailored to specific site needs.
- Regularly review the consistency of quality across all jobs within the Branch/Region and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct walk-throughs with Operations Managers to gain fresh perspectives on property quality.
- Teach proper horticultural practices to enhance site health and quality.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers and Supervisors to use tools like tear sheets and estimating forms to boost staff productivity on-site.
- Develop and implement site quality standards that align with customer service excellence.
- Teach and ensure consistency of Best-Known Practices across all operations.
- Share training and mentoring sessions with other regions as applicable.
Education and Experience:
- 2- or 4-year degree in Landscape, Business, or a related field, or 10–12 years of landscape maintenance or related experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of plant and turf identification and care, including pest and disease management.
- Competent in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, square feet).
- Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate lawn equipment, including mowers, edgers, and back blowers.
- Valid driver’s license required; must pass DOT physical (CDL may be required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong planning, organizational, and facilitation skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive, outgoing personality and ability to build and maintain relationships.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
- Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and computer printer
- Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of time
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, walking 2–10 miles/day, carrying up to 30 lbs, and performing various tasks (stooping, bending, standing for long hours, etc.).
Work Environment:
- This role will either be remote or be based in an office environment.
