Here’s what you’d do:

The Inside Sales Representative role is designed to drive efficiency and effectiveness of lead generation and qualification. The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) qualifies new incoming leads based on phone and email communication with prospective and current clients. The ISR will also develop and qualify marketing campaign leads. The ISR will have a strong understanding of BrightView’s service offerings. The ISR will also have the ability to effectively communicate BrightView’s value proposition while focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience with each interaction. This individual accurately collects and documents all important information in the respective company system and ensures that the leads sent to the outside sales team are qualified to company standards. The ISR works diligently to meet all lead qualification goals set forth by the company. 


This is a full time position.   Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; however days and hours may vary based on demand. Some travel will be required.


You’d be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a positive, upbeat work environment and striving to set the tone and pace for the team.
  • Operating as an extension of and partner of the outside sales team, with the goal to increase sales through qualified lead production.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up and outbound calls/ emails for current and prospective clients.
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate parties for further development and closure.
  • Providing efficient and exceptional customer experience that delights the client at all interactions.  
  • Accurately and timely logging each outreach made in respective company systems. 
  • Communicating as needed with clients to ensure high quality and service expectations are met.
  • Focusing on developing personal relationships with customers/ prospective customers. 
  • Meeting daily, weekly and monthly phone and email communication goals set by management.
  • Researching accounts and identifying key players while generating interest. 
  • Processing all leads in a timely and efficient manner according to SLA set by role requirements.
  • Monitoring and responding to all “request for quote” web requests.
  • Operating in multiple systems / queues and ensuring connectivity of all data. 
  • Assisting with providing on-the-job training for new ISR team members.
  • Actively managing project deadlines and communicating any issues with deadlines to management.
  • Providing reporting, scheduled and ad-hoc as requested by management.
  • Other tasks and duties, as assigned.

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Education: High School Diploma, with a minimum of 3 years of outside and / or insides sales experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of telemarketing and inside sales experience that included lead generation and qualification. As well as a strong phone presence with experience in phone block sessions.
  • Professionalism: Must be professional, adaptable and motivated while working well as both an individual and a member of a team. 
  • Listening skills: Demonstrate excellent listening skills to include active listening and non-verbal cues, as well as, simply allowing others to fully express their point of view to allow for full understanding.     
  • Oral communications skills: Exceptional oral communications skills are required; ability to speak clearly and persuasively regardless of the client’s demeanor or responses. 
  • Written communication skills: Ability to write professional correspondence, appropriate for all levels of management.
  • Multi-channel support – Phone, email, chat, social media, 3rd party client systems. Strong internet research skills are a must.  
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate and transform data into actionable insights. 
  • Technical Abilities : Strong technical aptitude, including ability to configure and use various systems, such as a telephony, CSM, CRM, ERP, vendor systems, and 3rd party systems and ability to aggregate the information to track and monitor KPIs.
  • Self-Reflection & Improvement: Continually works to improve interpersonal and supervisory skills and grow ability to lead and feed the success of the team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Constantly looks for ways to increase customer satisfaction, individual staff and team performance.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Consistently arrives at work and on time and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Sets the example for the team.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word with advanced Excel skills. Ability to type 65+ WPM. 

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Customer Experience: Understanding of customer journey touchpoints and mapping.
  • Landscape services: Substantive knowledge of or experience in the landscaping industry. 
  • Strategic thinker: Capacity to think strategically, yet detailed-oriented with the ability to execute on tactical plans. 
  • Upward mobility: Having the ability to transcend the Cx Center Manager role and provide significant contributions to BrightView.
